Robust and tight. Medium to full, generously textured. Plush dark fruit on fine tannin and fresh acid. Gentle oak brings vanilla, mocha and a savoury note without sitting on the fruit. Smooth through the middle, long polished finish. A large style, plenty of dark fruit, and it will be even better in six months. One for the cellar even.

A merlot that actually has some presence and poise. Aromas fall into the slightly liqueur cherry zone, with some lightly plummy notes. The palate is medium-bodied, velvety smooth and seamlessly integrated, with the tannin and oak infusion perfectly applied. It’s flavoursome, structured and suited to drinking over the next few years.
